Wednesdays during Lent
For the next 4 Wednesdays Immanuel is holding
Soup Suppers at 6:00 pm followed by
Holden Evening Prayer at 6:30 pm
The readings during Lent are from Walter Brueggemann’s book,
“A Way Other Than Our Own.“
Fiddlesticks Annual Fundraiser is Saturday & you can help!
March 15, 2:00-4:00 p.m. in our gym. No entrance fee, snacks are provided. Let's show the preschool community that Immanuel supports the work they do with young families!
You can help by--
* Pray for the Fiddlesticks staff and the families they serve
* Purchase raffle tickets ($5 each) for prize drawings at the event. You do NOT need to be present to win. If you win a prize, one of the Immanuel reps will choose something for you.
* Sign up to donate a dessert for their dessert dash auction. Desserts need to be at the church by noon on 3/15.
* Thank you to those who donated prize items--we have plenty to contribute.
Book Club
We met last Wednesday to discuss THE ONLY WOMAN IN THE ROOM, written by Marie Benedict. It is about Hedy Lamarr. Did you know she holds some patents dealing with WWII combat issues? We all were captivated and recomend this book.
Our next book is LIFE IN FIVE SENSES, by Gretchen Rubin.
We will be discussing it at our next meeting on April 2nd. If you like to read, join us!
Special Congregational Meeting
There will be a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, March 30 after the Service. Immanuel members will be voting on being a part of Hope Housing Collaborative of Lewis County's pilot "Safe Parking" Program. The "Safe Parking" will be hosted in church parking lots on a rotating schedule (1 week every 2 months) for women/families living with children in their cars. The goal of the program is to provide "Safe Parking" for children in the Centralia/Chehalis School district. There will be no cost to participating churches to run the "Safe Parking" Program. Churches are welcome to donate in support of the program.

A Memorial Service for Carol Pape has been scheduled
