Call Committee Congregational Report

Reporting Week of October 11, 2025

The Call Committee interviewing process continued this week and our final one next week.  We’ll then evaluate our candidates and determine which, if any, warrant a second Zoom interview.

As always, we request your continued prayers.

   Quilt Sunday

We will be putting our quilts on display at church on Wednesday morning October 22nd.  Come at 10:00 if you would like to help.  Stay a bit afterwards if you want input on destinations. You can even bring a sack lunch and stay for Bible Study!  After being blessed on Sunday the 26th, the quilts will be distributed. If you would like to participate in that, please let one of us know. It’s a “feel good” thing to do.

   Book Club

We met on October 1st to discuss DEATH COMES FOR THE ARCHBISHOP, written by Willa Cather.

There was actually much to discuss after the first few chapters. We appreciated the challenge the missionaries confronted.  Their interaction with the Mexican and Indigenous people took us off in other interesting directions.

Our new book is WEST WITH GIRAFFES, written by Lynda Rutledge.

Pick up a book and we’ll see you on November 5th.
