All Saints Dy
Next Sunday we remember the saints that have gone before us. There is a Book of Remembrance in the back of the sanctuary. Please take a moment to list those you have lost since last All Saints Day and we will read off their name during the time of remembrance.
Sunday School for all ages began last month!!
Beginning in September Sunday School will be offered on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. There is a class for adults, a Youth class for 4th graders and up and a Children’s class for toddlers to 3rd graders. All classes will begin at 9am. The Children’s class will meet in the nursery, the Youth class will meet upstairs in the youth room, and the adults will meet in the Narthex.
Please come and see what you can learn!
Book Club
We met October 7 to discuss WICKETT’S REMEDY, but first we enjoyed a little Q and A with our new Deacon Laura and Pastor Jared. The book? Well, no one gave it raving views. We decided the story line (what/which story line?) was difficult to follow. It bounced around with at least 4 different themes. Comments went from “really sad story”, “too confusing”, “no ending”, “the quarantine scenes were a bit much”. We were unimpressed and I can safely say we do not recommend this book. We will be discussing our next book THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME, by Laura Dave on November 4.
All are welcome, there is no membership. Pick up a book and come join us.
Reminder….please return books by the day of discussion
