Congregational Vote
Last Sunday, Immanuel held a Special congregational meeting . The vote was a clear decision to call Pastor Jared and Deacon Laura Carson as our next pastor team. The call has been extended to the Carsons who now have up to 30 days to discern and respond.
Please keep the Carsons in your prayer that they are open the the Holy Spirit’s leading.
The time to share is here!
The “Sharing Table” is set up at the front entrance door. It will be there through the summer for you to bring in anything that relates to the activity of gardening. Seeds, pots, tools and those little extra sprouts that are a shame to throw away are welcome. Later, flowers and vegetables. The is no charge for anything that is taken. We ask that you dust extra dirt off and label what you can. As the price of gardening continues to rise, this activity is very helpful to many of us.
Thank You
Book Club
We met on July 1st to discuss THEO OF GOLDEN, by Allen Levi. We have the highest praise for this book - the many characters, the research required, and the author. It tops our list of “best reads”. Since these books were purchased, any of our readers will be happy to share and let you borrow their copy. Next month’s book is THE MIDNIGHT LIBRARY, written by Matt Haig, and will be reviewed at our next meeting on August 5.
All are welcome, there is no membership.
Pick up a book and come join us.
Reminder….please return books by the day of discussion
